Hands-on Work and Simple Practices that support the body to settle, rebalance and regain the resources it needs for healing and everyday life.

How I work

I trained and worked as a Physiotherapist and have a degree in neuroscience, with a long-standing interest in how the nervous system, breath and body shape health and wellbeing.

Over time I began to notice that many of the same principles used in physical rehabilitation apply to the wider human system.

The body adapts to survive. When stress, illness or life demands become overwhelming, the system can become stuck in patterns that were once protective but are no longer helpful.

My work focuses on helping people understand these patterns and gently restore the rhythms that allow the body to settle and reorganise itself.

When the body begins to settle, people often notice an increase in capacity— the ability to cope with challenges, feel emotions without becoming overwhelmed, connect with others and move forward with greater resilience.

This work is not about fixing a broken system. It is about supporting the body so it can do what it is designed to do.

Why JustJo

People often come to me because they are trying to understand what is happening in their bodies.

They may be wondering why recovery feels slower than expected, why they feel overwhelmed, or why their system seems stuck despite their efforts.

Often, they have already tried many things and may have seen several different practitioners along the way. These efforts are rarely misguided — they usually reflect a genuine commitment to understanding and improving health.

What is sometimes missing is a stable physiological foundation.

When the body is under strain, many systems are working harder simply to manage threat. In that state it can be difficult for other forms of support or therapy to have their full effect.

Much of my work focuses on helping restore that baseline so the body has the resources it needs to heal, adapt and cope with life.

You cannot build a house on sand. This work helps create solid ground.
